Rivky, NYC songwriter, is currently nominated by the International Music Entertainment Awards, Folk Artist Of The Year, with her song, “Hear Me Mr. Honey,” produced by Grammy-winning Amy Lee, of Evanescence. She’s been invited on stages featuring Suzanne Vega, The Kennedy Center, jumpstarting her career Off-Broadway with her Cellist Brian Sanders. Rivky is currently an advocacy speaker giving musical performances while speaking of her lived experiences with schizophrenia to students/mental health initiatives, shining a light on psychosis. Rivky is a soulful, cabaret-ish, Jaques Brelian, Freddie Mercury nostalgia, beautifully hard to pin down, held by the seat of her funny pants, slapping stigma silly whilst singing jazzy-bluesy-folky, sometimes theatrical compositions. Rivky grew up living Orthodox Jewish, in the Hasidic “Amish” like culture but left it.
