Kristen Mark Westwood is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and creative collaborator based in Toronto. With deft guitar work and a genre-crossing blend of folk, roots and gospel, his songs explore weighty themes and colourful narratives with a nimble variety of tone, texture and rhythm. His debut album “What I Heard, What I Saw” is nominated by GMA Canada for Folk Album of the Year, and is a meditation on the Book of Mark. Born from nearly a decade of wrestling with the stories Kristen was raised on, these songs renders flesh and bone, ache and longing, to characters which have fostered conviction and creativity across the generations.
